Basketball League Champions!

 

93% of the players who were trained by Collegiate Prep in the Fall of 2005 & 2006 successfully made their competitive middle school or high school teams.

 

40% OF THOSE PLAYERS WERE CUT BY THAT SAME TEAM THE PREVIOUS YEAR

 

91.8% of our fall 2007 participants made their competetive high school or middle school team while Collegiate Prep doubled the number of players involved from 2006.  That indicates  we have had tremendous growth with compromising less than 2% success

 

2010 Results:

 

  • Christy Hewatt of Forsyth Central HS has verbally committed to the College of Charleston to accept an athletic scholarship.  Christy first attended CPBA programming at age 11.
  • After being offered over 25 full scholarships from schools in the ACC, SEC, Big South, Southern, CAA and Big 12 conferences Jen Heider of Marist HS has verbally committed to Bucknell University to accept an athletic scholarship.
  • The Riverwatch MS 8th grade boys' undefeated champions had 6 players trained by CPBA.
  • The Riverwatch MS 7th grade girls' undefeated champions had 7 players trained by CPBA.
  • The Riverwatch MS 7th grade boys' undefeated champions had 5 players trained by CPBA.
  • The Vickery Creek 8th grade girls' champions had 5 players trained by CPBA.
  • The Vickery Creek 8th grade boys' runners-up had 6 players trained by CPBA.
  • We expanded our Spring League and Fall Training program to 3 locations including Dobbs Creek in Cumming.
  • Brody Littley as a college freshman at Appalachian State conducted a satellite training program in Wilkesboro, NC. 
     

2009 Results:

  • 8u Atlanta Cagers coached by Ralph Smith won the YBOA National Championship.  Their team participated in weekly training session during the winter in preparation for their spring season.
  • 2 CPBA players (Kylee Smith and Taylor Blackmon) were recruited to play on the GA Ice select AAU team which won the 12u AAU national Championship.
  • TJ Howell of South Forsyth HS signed a Division II athletics scholarship at UNC Pembroke and was accepted in the Nursing program.
  • Coach Derek Dewitt was honored as the first head coach at the new Lambert HS.  Coach Dewitt was a CPBA coach for 2 years prior to this appointment.
  • CPBA summer campers came from as far away as FL, NC, OH, KY and the Netherlands.
  • Brody Littley of Milton HS was team captain of a team that made it to the GA 5A Sate Championship under Coach David Boyd.
     

 

2008 Results:

 

  • Jen Heider of Marist and Christy Hewatt of Forsyth Central (both rising 10th graders) were invited to the University of Georgia Women's Elite Camp.  This invitation was a limited offer to those players UGA has shown recruiting interest from around the nation!  Both players began their training with Collegiate Prep at 12 and 11 years of age respectively.
  • Enrollment with the City of Roswell at Hembree Park was raised to over 400 kids, the largest in over 20 years 
  • Alex Weeks of Roswell HS was named Most Improved Player of his team.  Alex was never selected to the 6th or 7th grade jr. feeder team and received limited playing time as an 8th grader.

2007 Results:

 

§       Awarded contract with the City of Roswell to conduct all recreational summer camps

§       Coach Tucker was invited as a featured speaker at the “Legends” Coaches Clinic as part of the NCAA Final Four convention along side Bob Hurley Sr. of St. Anthony’s HS in New Jersey and Ron Bell of Marist HS

§       Expanded programming by doubling number of Spring Training League, Summer Camp and Fall Training as well as created first ever New England Camp

§       Former 7th grade participant, Jen Heider of Marist is already receiving Div. I letters from multiple schools as a freshman.

§        5th grade Roswell jr. feeder team won their Marietta Christmas Championship: Coach Kirby Jones & Joe Tomassi

§        Connor Murray of Roswell HS was named MVP of 9th grade team. Connor was cut from the 6th and 7th grade jr. feeder teams while only playing sparingly on the 8th grade team.

 

2006 Results:

 

§       Fellowship Christian School Girls 8th Grade NAML Champions 17-0: Coach Janet Milton

§       Roswell 8th Grade Girls Jr. Feeder team won the NMBL Championship: Coach Joe Tomassi

§       Atlanta Cagers 13u finished 9th in the nation Division I: Coach Ralph Smith

§       Former 9th grade participant, Kirsten Pfahl of Northview HS committed NCAA Div. I at High Point

§       Northview HS JV Girls won the JV Championship 

§       Former 8th grade participant, Brody Littley of Milton HS has visited Div. I programs; Austin Peay, Western Kentucky, Belmont, Lipscomb, and more!

§       Michael Walczak of Roswell HS was named MVP of the 9th grade team.  Michael never made the 6th, 7th or 8th grade jr. feeder team.

 

2005 Results:

 

§       Laura Moore of Duluth HS signed an NAIA scholarship at Berry College

§       Jesse Wheeler of Duluth HS signed an NCAA Div. I scholarship at Gardner-Webb

§       Northview HS Girls won more games (16) in the 2005-06 season than in the previous 3 years combined

§       Northview HS JV Girls won the JV Championship: Coach Chris Pfahl

§       Roswell 8th Grade Girls Jr. Feeder team won the NMBL Championship by defeating Cherokee.  That was Cherokee’s first and only league loss in 3 years!  Coach Bill Korowitz

§       Jimmie Lewis went from being cut from the 8th grade Chattahoochee Jr. Feeder team to making the 9th grade team and later playing varsity in May of 2006

§       Atlanta Cagers 12u finished 4th in the nation YBOA:  Coach Ralph Smith

 

Collegiate Prep does not pay for any advertising and strictly works off word of mouth from our parents and players that participate in our programming as well as free coaches clinics.  We do this for two important purposes.

 

1.    We want to control costs for our students and have a high retention rate

2.    It holds us accountable everyday as to what people say about us!
